PPM Conducts 400th Risk Management Seminar

October 19, 2017

Milestone marks continued commitment to patient safety and risk management.

Overland Park, Kansas – October 19, 2017 – Preferred Physicians Medical (PPM), industry leading provider of professional liability insurance for anesthesia practices, announced today that PPM recently conducted its 400th anesthesia-specific, on-site risk management seminar for one of its Annapolis, Maryland anesthesia practice groups.

Since 1987, PPM has honed our anesthesia expertise using a substantial database of loss outcomes information based on our investigation of nearly 14,000 adverse anesthesia events. PPM utilizes this database to identify areas of risk, monitor developing loss trends, and provide anesthesia-specific risk management advice and patient safety strategies.

“PPM’s risk management seminars are tailored to each policyholder anesthesia practice group. Once our policyholder groups receive a PPM risk management seminar, they routinely tell us the practical, timely anesthesia risk management strategies will improve patient safety and positively influence their practice," according to Tracey Dujakovich, PPM's Senior Claims Attorney.
