Recent publication of “Distractions in the O.R.”

Overland Park, KS - January 25, 2018 – Preferred Physicians Medical (PPM), industry leading provider of professional liability insurance for anesthesia practices, announced the recent publication of “Distractions in the O.R.” in ASA Monitor.

PPM’s Vice President–Risk Management, Brian J. Thomas, JD, co-authored the article with Brian J. Cammarata, MD, which was published in the December 2017 issue of the ASA Monitor, the official newsletter of the American Society of Anesthesiologists (ASA). The article addresses the impact of distractions on patient care and safety. In addition, the article is featured in a monthly poll on the Anesthesia Patient Safety Foundation (APSF) website.
